Celebrate Every Step
This collection of music is a fresh departure from the previous CD's I have released in that each piece differs from the others in style and presentation. Even though a couple are pretty exciting, each one is personal and intimate.
The title track was inspired by 2 Samuel 6: 12-15 ASV: ...and David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with Joy. And it was so, that, when they that bare the ark of Jehovah had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatling. And David danced before Jehovah with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. So David and all of the house of Israel brought up the ark of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
I believe the message here is simple: We are to obey God and joyfully worship and celebrate every step of our destiny in Christ Jesus. After all, we are bringing the presence of God into our cities!
The last track is a live worship segment extracted from a morning worship at Roca Blanca Mission Base in Oaxaca, Mexico. (www.rocablanca.org) It does not have the production qualities that the rest of the album has, but is so unique and anointed that I wanted to share this once-in-a-lifetime moment that was captured in that special gathering. By the way, the musicians there are great, talented, and sensitive as any I play with anywhere!
